Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. She sings as well. Her mother raised her in the USA in a place where she endured numerous racial slurs that caused her to feel as a non-person. If she attended a school competition and received great praise for her performance, in ninth grade she began to grow more confident. The experience not only boosted her confidence but also shifted the direction she wanted to go in her career. When she was 22, she graduated from the New York's Julliard School. When she was 23, her first Broadway show with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut in the film You've got Mail were both her big breakthroughs. The role of The lad from The Lake is her greatest break, earning an award for her performance, an award called the Tony Award in addition to praise from critics for her performance. Following that, in 2007, she was cast on the ABC series Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. As a well-known singer, she has also recorded a song and a play. In addition, she is an LGBT activist.
