Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to two actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first television roles included two episodes as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mother. However, her parents didn't want her to pursue acting until she became an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry acknowledged that she was not at ease in the stage during high school. She began performing as a means to connect with new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. When she graduated, Perry moved into New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led her back to California and she was able to find acting jobs. Her mother and she appeared on Broadway together in The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she appeared with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning Drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared nine times in The Family, an ABC drama The Family, in 2016. In 2017 she had a recurring role on the ABC drama about politics Scandal which starred her father. The actress also portrayed the younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - which is a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The part was offered to her through audition, despite the fact that she has a family tie to the character.
